About Oaks Lactation and Wellness

Our mission at Oaks Lactation and Wellness is to build confidence, create peace, and build connection. Many of our clients come to us feeling lost, overwhelmed, and searching for answers or direction. It’s our honor to provide skilled support to create an individualized care plan for you and your baby. Our holistic approach is key to achieving infant feeding goals.

You can be sure you will always be heard and validated here at Oaks. We are here to support you in exclusively nursing, exclusively pumping, combination, if you are formula feeding 100%, or using formula supplement. You will never receive judgement on how you feed your baby.

Parenting can be really hard. I am here to bring you peace and confidence. My mission is to take care of mom so she can be the best mom she can be. I’ve been there. From sleepless nights, painful breastfeeding, transitioning into having a toddler and a baby, and struggling with my mental health. My own experiences have grown my passion for supporting families as a whole.

Specialities include oral dysfunction, tongue ties, poor weight gain, and bottle feeding.

Nadia Hoppe

RN, IBCLC

Lactation Consultant | Registered Nurse | Postpartum Doula

Like so many lactation professionals, it all started with my own journey as a parent. From a new mother struggling to breastfeed to a confident(ish) mother of a breastfeeding 2-year old, I deeply believed in the benefits of breastfeeding.

Although my background is in teaching and academics (I have my PhD in Russian literature), I couldn’t shake the pull I felt to support other parents in their transition to parenthood. Once my studies started coming to a close, I transitioned to full time lactation work as a Peer Counselor at WIC, then began to work at a tongue-tie clinic in Las Vegas, where I primarily worked with babies with tethered oral tissues and other oral dysfunction. I also have worked as a lactation consultant in the postpartum, NICU, and labor and delivery units at a local hospital in Henderson, Nevada. While I am new to the Toledo area, I grew up in the east suburbs of Cleveland and moved back to the area in 2022 to be closer to family.

My career continues to evolve and now you may also see me in my role as a labor and delivery nurse

Administrative Support

You may see the name Jessica pop up when contacting Oaks Lactation and Wellness. Jessica assists (let’s be real, she pretty much runs the show) behind the scenes with scheduling, answering questions, insurance, ordering supplies, social media, and making sure Sarah completes her to-do lists. You likely won’t see Jessica in person as she lives out of state but you very likely will chat with her via text for one reason or another.
